As England prepares for the second national coronavirus lockdown of 2020, some may be eager to see whether the Premium Bonds prize draw has brought them good news. This November, two more savers have become millionaires, and a total of 3.9 million prizes have been paid out.

This particular winner has the maximum holding of £50,000.

The total prize fund this month was more than £113million.

It includes seven winners who were each selected for £100,000 and 15 picked for a £50,000 payout.


NS&I has now updated the Premium Bonds prize checker online for the November 2020 draw.

To use the tool on the NS&I website, users simply need to enter their holder’s number.

Those who don’t have this detail to hand can access the prize checker via alternative methods.

For instance, a person can check for prizes via the NS&I prize checker app.

The process will take a matter of months, but they will be completely phased out by March 2021.

Meanwhile, the Premium Bonds prize fund rate will reduce later this month, affecting prize fund draws from December this year.

The reduction of 40 basis points impacts the odds of winning a prize in the Premium Bonds draws.

Currently, the odds per £1 unit are 24,500 to one, and this will change to 34,500 to one from next month’s draw.
