Chad Gable has revealed Jason Jordan is trying to make a remarkable in-ring return.
Jordan has not wrestled since January 2018 due to major neck issues.
At the time of his injury, he was receiving a big push in WWE as Kurt Angle’s on-screen son and had one-on-one matches with John Cena and Roman Reigns.
Gable, who was one half of the American Alpha tag team with Jordan in NXT and WWE, has teased ‘never say never’ regarding a wrestling comeback for his friend.
He told WWE’s The Bump: “Speaking from a personal standpoint, he became one of my best friends throughout the process – he still is.
“It’s unfortunate what happened to him with his injury, but you never say never.
“He’s working on it and trying to get back. Who knows?
“There’s always a chance at a reunion, and that’s something I’d never be against.”
Gable believes he would not have made it so far in WWE if it was not for Jordan.
He added: “We have a body of work from NXT that I’m so proud of to this day.
“Jason was such a big part of my journey to being successful in WWE.
“Who’s to say if I would’ve ever got on in NXT or the main roster if it wasn’t for Jason?
“I just feel so fortunate that we meshed together so well. He’s another one of those guys like Otis who has a similar mentality that resonates on certain levels.
“The cohesiveness was always there.”
