Attendance allowance: Do you receive a state pension? You may be eligible for payments | Personal Finance | Finance

In some instances, a claimant will need to attend an assessment to check on their eligibility if it is unclear how their disability affects them.

At the moment, because of coronavirus, face-to-face meetings are not going aged and should an assessment still be needed, the DWP will contact claimants to let them know what needs to be done instead.

To apply for attendance allowance, a specific claim form will need to be completed and sent to the government.

Where a claimant needs assistance with this, a dedicated attendance allowance helpline can be called.
