6. The country believes dragons are for the good. Unlike Western cultures that associate the dragon with an evil creature, in Chinese mythology, the dragon is a great creature, similar to the phoenix and the tiger, and it is often associated with the emperor.
7. In China, every year is represented by one of 12 animals and New Year’s celebrations last 15 days.
9. The Chinese calendar is considered the oldest in the world. It is also called the lunar calendar because it is based off the moon.
